Hey, you guys!
This past Saturday, I shared a couple graphics on my social media accounts about the #Last90Days. I’m sure you’ve heard of this, right? It’s the idea of being purposeful and intentional with our last 90 days of the year. I know you know all about New Year’s Resolutions, but this is kind of like a kickstart for that. You already know that you can set goals any time of the year… literally any day that you feel the need, you can turn over a new leaf and start something new. So, here I am - prompting you to do this with me. Because community and accountability are key when it comes to goal-setting and goal-reaching ;)
But have you ever set goals and been disheartened to realize that you’re just not reaching them?? I know, I have. Here's the thing: "Results-Based" Goals can be discouraging... when you feel like you're working so hard and NOT achieving what you set out to achieve. We've got to shift our mindset. Our goals shouldn't be about "results" (those are just a bonus and a by-product of our actions).
Instead, our goals should be "action-based", focusing on the habits and areas where we can consistently Show Up for. It's about our Identity and who we are becoming in the process of it all that really matters!
I’m hosting an accountability community challenge for the wife and mama who wants to take charge and do her part at stewarding her life well. I want to invite you to have a really purposeful #Last90Days with me. This is The Challenge to Show Up. In this challenge, you get to choose what areas you want to Show Up for!
It could be your family... to spend Intentional and Purposeful Time with them each day. That could be as simple as talking with your husband about his day or reading a book to your children. You get to decide!
It could be your home management... maybe you want to start a habit of keeping your kitchen clean or shining your sink every night because you know it would make things so much easier for you the next day! Or it could be completing one load of laundry a day from start to finish. You get to decide!
Maybe it's your Quiet Time with the Lord that you want to consistently show up for... You get to decide!
Is it time for you to start to Show Up for your Work Outs and moving your body on a regular basis? It doesn't have to be a full-on HIIT workout every day... it could vary from day to day - even a simple walk outside could count. You get to decide!
It could be that you want to prioritize getting dressed and taking care of yourself every day... whether that's full-on make-up and hair fixed, a hot bath every night, or just changing into your cute yoga pants and t-shirt instead of pajamas... you get to decide!
Whatever area(s) in life you want to show up for, you get to choose!
-->The idea of this challenge is that it's 90 days. We’re starting officially on Sunday, October 3 and we’ll finish this on December 31st of this year.
-->You get to decide what Showing Up means for you. Whether it's one area or five, you can choose what counts for you. I'll share mine with you and share my strategy as well.
-->You can choose to receive Private Encouragement, Inspiration, and Accountability from me -OR- you can join up with a Challenge Group with other ladies participating in the Challenge so we can support and encourage each other! Whatever you decide, whenever you join... I'm here for you!

Well, here is something new! I’ve shared about how I’ve talked with a couple of my close friends about saving money in groceries. I thought we were doing pretty good in that area, but after hearing how much my friends are spending monthly for groceries for their families and having to pick my jaw up off the floor, I KNEW I could do better. That has been something I’ve been pursuing and working on a bit harder over the past couple months. Just planning ahead makes a huge difference! I shared my monthly meal plan calendar on social media, and there was a TON of interest shown in having meal plans all planned out and corresponding grocery lists to go along with it. So that’s something I’ve been working on for you guys, and it’s finally here! My goal was October 1 so you’d have it for this month, and I have it for you now! So yay!
**I’m sending this month’s Menu Plan & all of my Meal Planning Templates to all of my community at the Purposeful Planners level in Patreon, so if you are a member there, be sure to check your email today for that little Subscriber / Member freebie this month! If you’re not a member there, but you’d like to be, you can join us here. You’ll get access to all previous posts and freebies. I sent out monthly Planner Packs when I was in the creation process for those, so do some digging, and you can find all of those Free Printables in the archives.
Also, my friend, Ashley, agreed to come record a podcast episode with me all about saving money, but specifically there are lots of tips for saving money on groceries and food. We recorded that earlier this week, and I’m in the editing process so I can get it shared with you guys! Get excited about that, friends, because Ashley’s family is debt-free, they do things a bit unconventionally, and she has a TON of valuable tips to share! You’ll love this one!
I don’t know about you, but I just always love to see what other people are doing. I am a people-watcher FOR SURE, and it’ one of the reasons that I love social media. I wanna know how everyone is decorating, organizing, celebrating holidays, dressing, etc. Literally, all the things! Although with So Many Influencers overtaking the socials now, it gets tricky to know what’s real, and what’s just a sponsorship or and ad. Well, hey! I’m a real person, and I share things just for the fun of it — no paid partnerships at this time. Lol. I do post affiliate links, and that will give me a teeny tiny percentage of compensation, at no extra cost to you… but I only share products that I use and love.
So here’s a new, fun feature called What’s in the Mail where I’m literally going to share with you things I’ve ordered and received recently… just for fun! Here goes!
1. This Over-the-Sink Dish Drying Rack
Our dishwasher wasn’t working properly so I’ve been hand-washing all the dishes for about two weeks now. I quickly got aggravated that I had no where to put them all to dry. Well, I did - but it was basically my entire counter. That was no good because I need my counter space for meal prep, and this just slowed down all of my processes in the kitchen.
Just like everything else I try to organize, I like to “think vertically”. I really also wanted to find a dish rack that didn’t take up valuable sink space or valuable counter space. And the bigger, the better! Obviously, it would also be nice if it could have a place for all types of dishes… cookware, large pans, small things, etc.
Well, yall. I found it. Problem solver to the rescue over here! I have been using it all weekend and the beginning of this week, and it is just perfect! Exactly what we needed! Yes, we look like we have a restaurant over here, but we basically do with all of these youngins’ and their never-ending meals and snacks they eat here all day long. I’m actually really enjoying hand-washing all my dishes right now, but ask me that again next week.
2. Water Bottle Pump
I can’t figure out how to post a video in this email, but scroll through towards this end of this highlight if you missed my little Layten washing dishes in her little play kitchen that we have converted into a real-working child-sized kitchen for their own snack and simple meal prep!
3. Drill Brush Attachments
I know I’ve told yall this before, but I’m way better at organizing and tidying up than I am cleaning. Well, actually I feel like the tidying part pretty much HAS to happen before you’re able to clean anyway, and with 4 kids and a dog - that takes a lot out of me. Ha! But… I’m not letting that be an excuse to not clean my house well. I feel like I’m in a good season right now, and I can prioritize this and work at it a little harder, and it’s going great. There are two areas that have been bothering me though— the caked on things in the bottom of the oven and air fryer. (I made a rotisserie chicken in there, which was a really cool feature, but it was a MESS inside the air fryer, and I haven’t gotten it entirely clean like I’d like to since! Also, the tub, ours especially. I love using baby oil to make my skin soft from time to time, but it makes the tub nasty. I needs a good hard scrubbin’!
I ordered these drill brush attachments (the black for the oven and the yellow for the tubs and showers), and so far I’m really impressed with them. I love tools that have me doing less “work”. Work smarter, not harder is how the saying goes!
