I’m about to recycle and reuse some of my older blog posts and turn them into podcast episodes! How fun will that be?! But of course, I’d also like to update them and add some fresh, new aspects as well. This is where I’m asking for your help!
I’m starting with the series “A Glimpse into my Prayer Journal” that I wrote back in 2017. Then, I shared stories from a few people that I knew that were rocking their prayer life. I always like to get input and inspiration from others, and I know you do too. This is your chance! I’d love to hear your story of what your prayer life looks like! If you’d like, you can simply reply to this email telling me what it looks like for you in the next week or two. I’d love to share these stories in episodes in this podcast series. You could also send an audio recording or video, and I’ll see if I can grab the audio from it to make it work. That would be fun too!
Let me know if you’re interested in sharing your Prayer Life Story!
A couple weeks ago I had my friend, Ashley, over to record a podcast episode with me. She’s the one who told me that they spend just $500/month on groceries, and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. I asked in my social media stories if you guys would be interested in hearing from her on the podcast, and it was unanimous! So, we did that last week, and she had SO MANY good nuggets of knowledge and ways to save money to share with us. We talked meal planning, grocery shopping, saving money on kids’ clothes, budgeting, becoming debt free, and SO MANY OTHER THINGS! You will not want to miss this episode!
**I’ve sent this month’s Menu Plan & all of my Meal Planning Templates to all of my community at the Purposeful Planners level in Patreon, so if you are a member there, be sure to check your email today for that little Subscriber / Member freebie this month! If you’re not a member there, but you’d like to be, you can join us here. You’ll get access to all previous posts and freebies. I sent out monthly Planner Packs when I was in the creation process for those, so do some digging, and you can find all of those Free Printables in the archives.
Hey, I’m a real person, and I share things just for the fun of it — no paid partnerships at this time. I’m just sharing what we get in the mail because it’s just fun to see what others are doing sometimes isn’t it? And why not?!
So here’s a new, fun feature called What’s in the Mail where I’m literally going to share with you things I’ve ordered and received recently… just for fun! Here goes!
I was just thinking this past week that I wouldn’t have anything to share in this segment this week
(and that would’ve been QUITE alright as it would mean that I didn’t order anything else from Amazon, lol),
BUT I actually do have something to share with you!
As you all know, I’ve been working to saving money on our family’s groceries the past couple months. Well, I’m proud to say that this month, we definitely DID save money. One of my incentives / motivations for saving money was that Justin told me we would keep the budget the same for now, and whatever I save on groceries - I can spend the difference. Um, yes please! Haha!
During out last pay period, I stocked up on several things in the pantry and as much as we could fit in our small freezer… so for this pay period, we definitely saved money! In fact, I was able to take some of that, and I made a big order to Public Goods. We do not have a membership with them currently, but I’ve ordered their all-natural products in the past, and I LOVED them! In fact, their shampoo and conditioner has been my absolute favorite that I’ve EVER used. I was able to extend my wash cycle, using less product in the long run, and it lasted me about a year. I’ve been wanting to order it again for a while now, and it’s just been on the back burner. Well, this was the month!
So as I said before, we do not have a membership with them currently, and it costs almost $80/a year… but they do offer a free trial period of two weeks, so I decided to use that and just see if I could order enough of my favorite products from them to last me a year instead. I spent $115 total on all of this. It’s way more product than I ordered the last time, but my hair is longer now too, and I’m hoping I can get the rest of the family to use it with me as well. Not only do I love their products, but I also really love their minimal packaging. Something about the simplicity of the black and white just makes me happy. It goes with any decor ;-)
Here’s what we got! I grabbed enough bathroom cleaners for each bathroom to have their own, plus a refill, but I do usually make my own cleaners so I might just use these bottles and do that when these run out.
UPDATE to last week’s “What’s in the Mail” when I ordered these Mixed 10 Mini Bamboo Wicker Holder Baskets and Garbanzo Beans: Here’s what I did with them. ;-)
